Brier Creek Vision Care is dedicated to doing our part to control the coronavirus pandemic. As recommended by the CDC and North Carolina Board of Optometry, we will temporarily close our office beginning Monday, March 23rd, 2020, with a tentative re-open date of Monday, April 6th, 2020.
This situation is ever-changing, but our doctors are available for any emergencies or urgent eye care issues that may arise. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, or if you have any questions regarding whether you should be seen immediately, please contact us by e-mailing us at jdurham@bcvision.org or by calling our office at 919-361-2299 and using the after-hours option.
Symptoms of a true ocular emergency that should be reported immediately:
- Flashing lights in vision or new onset or increased floaters
- Concern for eye infection
- Loss of vision
- Eye pain
- Sudden onset double-vision
- Pre-existing glaucoma diagnosis with need for refills on medications
- Broken glasses
- Ran out of contact lenses
Other urgent symptoms:
If you have glasses or contact lenses on order, we will still be receiving these orders. Once we have checked these orders for accuracy you will be contacted. We will have a set day and time for these orders to be picked up. The first pick up date will be March 27th from 12pm to 3pm. We will be doing a curbside pickup. We ask that you call our office before coming to make payment if there is a balance and once you get to our office call us and we can bring product to you.
We are monitoring the CDC and WHO recommendations and adjusting our policies as needed. We hope you understand that this not a decision made lightly, but one that is in the best interest of our doctors, staff, and – most importantly – you, our valued patients.
